About Konohanasakuya-Hime (Mythology)

Also known as: 木花開耶姫

(Konohana Sakuya-Hime, lit. Princess Blossoming Flower of the Tree)

A goddess in Japanese Mythology. Her name was described as 木花之佐久夜毘売 (Konohana no Sakuya-Bime) in the Kojiki.

She and her sister, Iwanaga-hime (Stone Longevity Princess) are the daughters of the mountain god Ohoyamatsumi. The mythology about them and Ninigi-no-Mikoto is considered as a variation of ”the Stone and the Banana.” Later she became associated with Mount Fuji.

Konohana Sakuya (Persona), Amagi Yukiko's persona in Persona 4 was named after this goddess.
