Marvel character with the appearance of a humanoid tree. Originally introduced in 1960 as a horror monster, he was reimagined in 2006 as a benevolent alien and made into a member of the Guardians Of The Galaxy.
He's known for being able to speak only one phrase: "I am Groot".
