9A-91 is a Russian compact Assault Rifle that fires subsonic 9×39mm cartridge. It was introduced in 1993 as a cheaper versatile alternative to SR-3 Vikhr. The weapon features a stamped steel receiver, polymer furniture, top-Folded Stock, a sight mounting rail for optics on the receiver's left side, and a quick detach Suppressor. Due to its cartridge's lower muzzle velocity, the effective firing range is lower than most assault rifles, 200 m.
